Channel 4 News animation: Gordon Brown-Reduced
Gordon Brown was long on Britishness and morality and short on the object of everyone's obsession this week - when will he try his luck in an general election. The speech was a bit reminiscent of Margaret Thatcher's attempts to wrap herself in the flag. Published above and here, at Channel 4 News.

Overskilled
It is often possible to hear whingeing about the lack of a skilled workforce in the UK, this usually comes from the CBI and large corporate employers. When one considers the efforts to outsource jobs to other countries and offshore units, one might think UK workers were simply one of too many seals - with balance sheet innappropriate labour costs.

Supercasino
Editorial drawing about Britain's first supercasino - loans for peerages - overstocked jails - catholic adoption agencies - and the Labour deputy leadership. I wish the news didn't make you reach for so much sometimes. However, when you look at it, it does indicate a government that looks in terminal decline.
