Our national flag carrier airline, British Airways (or BA, as it calls itself now) has been fined for manipulating the price of transatlantic air tickets.
Foolishly, it had trusted that its partner in crime, Richard Branson's Virgin Atlantic, wouldn't snitch to the US regulators about the price-fixing cartel they were running. But Beardie's chaps squealed and now BA are facing some very hefty fines.
Amazingly, Virgin got let off for telling... and there are some very unhappy customers of both companies around now.
Free market economics, my arse, to paraphrase someone intelligent.
